SEND Nanny Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Membership Overview

The SteadySteps SEND Nanny Membership provides families with access to our SEND-specialist nanny network, matching service, and ongoing support.

SteadySteps acts solely as a matching and coordination service. We do not employ nannies and do not enter into employment relationships on behalf of families.

Families engage and employ their chosen nanny directly and are responsible for all employment, payroll, tax, pension, and legal obligations associated with employing a nanny.

2. Membership Fees

Membership is charged at:

£29.99 per month

plus

£19 one-time registration fee payable upon joining.

The registration fee is charged once per family and is non-refundable.

Membership payments are collected monthly and continue until cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

3. Minimum Commitment

Membership requires a minimum commitment period of three (3) consecutive months.

Membership may not be cancelled during the initial three-month period.

Following the minimum commitment period, membership may be cancelled at any time by providing written notice before the next billing date.

4. What Membership Includes

Membership includes:

• Access to the SteadySteps SEND nanny network

• SEND nanny matching and introductions

• Family intake and support

• Ongoing access to nanny recommendations

• One complimentary nanny coordination request

The first nanny coordination request is included at no additional charge.

5. Additional Coordination Requests

Following the first complimentary coordination request, a fee of £10 per confirmed coordination request will apply.

Coordination fees cover the time spent sourcing, contacting, and introducing suitable nannies.

Coordination fees do not guarantee nanny availability or successful placement.

6. Nature of the Service

Membership provides access to SteadySteps’ matching and coordination services.

Membership does not guarantee:

• nanny availability

• successful placement

• emergency or last-minute childcare

• acceptance of a position by any nanny

All childcare providers operate independently and maintain control over their own schedules and availability.

7. Employment Responsibility

Families acknowledge that they are the employer of any nanny they hire.

SteadySteps is not responsible for:

• payroll administration

• tax deductions

• pension obligations

• employment contracts

• holiday pay

• statutory employment requirements

Where available, SteadySteps may recommend third-party payroll providers and partner discounts. Any agreement entered into with such providers remains between the family and the provider.

8. Payments and Refunds

Membership fees are non-refundable once membership has commenced.

The service is considered commenced when any of the following occur:

• completion of the registration process

• submission of a nanny request

• receipt of nanny introductions

• use of matching or coordination services

Unused membership time cannot be transferred or refunded.

9. Consumer Cooling-Off Rights

Where membership is purchased online, consumers may be entitled to a 14-day statutory cooling-off period.

If the family requests that SteadySteps begins providing services during this period, including conducting searches, making introductions, or providing coordination services, the family acknowledges that cancellation rights may be reduced or lost once services have commenced.

10. Family Responsibilities

Families agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding:

• their child’s needs

• SEND requirements

• working hours

• location

• household circumstances

Families agree to communicate respectfully and professionally with all childcare providers introduced by SteadySteps.

11. Membership Changes

SteadySteps reserves the right to amend membership pricing, benefits, or terms where necessary.

Existing members will be given reasonable notice of any significant changes.

12. Limitation of Liability

SteadySteps makes reasonable efforts to vet and assess childcare providers before introduction.

However, SteadySteps cannot guarantee the suitability of any individual nanny for a family’s specific circumstances.

Final recruitment decisions remain solely the responsibility of the family.
